心得：

　　今天的課程是資訊描述與檢索(Resource Description and Access)，即為資源描述和檢索的，共有十篇三十七章外加附錄。而今天的課程針對導論做詳細的介紹。

　　特色(fratures)：RDA看到的是一個框架(framework)，RDA不會單獨存在，也並非全世界在使用，而是與其他標準共存，像是AACR、ISBD、MARC21 Format等



　　RDA的目的與範圍(Purpose and Scope)

RDA provides a set of guidelines and instructions on recording data to support resource discovery.

●The data created using RDA to describe a resource are designed to assist users performing the following tasks:

Find─i.e., to find resources that correspond to the user’s stated search criteria(能夠找得到)

Identify─i.e., to confirm that the resource described corresponds to the resource sought, or to distinguish between two or more resources with similar characteristics(知道是自己所要的)

Select─i.e., to select a resource that is appropriate to the user’s needs(選擇自己所要的)

Obtain─i.e., to acquire or access the resource described.(決定要拿得到才算數)



●The data created using RDA to describe an entity associated with a resource(a person, family, corporate body, concept, etc.) are designed to assist users performing the following tasks:

Find─i.e., to find information on that entity and on resources associated with the entity(能夠找得到)

Identify─i.e., to confirm that the entity described corresponds to the entity sought, or to distinguish between two or more entities with similar names, etc.(找到是要的)

Clarify─i.e., to clarify the relationship between two or more such entities, or to clarify the relationship between the entity described and a name by which that entity is known(澄清這些名字關係)


Understand─i.e., to understand why a particular name or title, or form of name or title, has been chosen as the preferred name or title for the entity.(理解為何是這個名字)

ISBN一開始是給書店用，後來到了出版商(後面皆代碼)，最後才是到圖書館

G: 貴族、階級的頭銜 (Titles of Nobility, Terms of Rank, Etc.)
H: 基督曆法的日子 (Dates in the Christian Calendar)
I: 關係指數：資源和個人、家族與團體機構的關係(Relationship Designators: Relationships Between a Resource and Persons, Families, and Corporate Bodies Associated with the Resource)
J:關係指數：作品、表現形、載體呈現與單件的關係 (Relationship Designators: Relationships Between Works, Expressions, Manifestations, and Items)
K:關係指數：個人、家族與團體機構的關係(Relationship Designators: Relationships Between Persons, Families, and Corporate Bodies)
